Below is a list of races found in this world, and a brief description of each and from which countries they're usually found. When creating your character, please choose only one of these four races- this makes it easier when figuring out what sort of features your character has, rather than having debates on race lore from a variety of different sources. The countries of residence are listed by population of each race, starting with the most populated area.
Human:
Humans are probably the most populous and the most problematic of all races. They are also, by far, the most unpredictable. While half are struggling to live their own day to day lives, the other half are plotting some political or personal turmoil. Humans are also probably the most diverse of all the races, having a variety of skin colors, eye colors, hair shades, sizes, weights... everything. Humans are also renowed for their ability to breed more quickly than the other races, and for sending the surplus of their peoples into other territories to expand their own boarders. However, it has been recognized that their resourcefulness, their enginuity, and their instinct to survive can be a saving grace for their existence.
Primary Countries of Residence: Eddalius, Nevyrn, Elsewhere
(a rare few choose to live in Talianis)
Arrian:
The smallest of the races, Arrians are renowned for being peoples of the air. They are bird-like in many ways, from the sharp angles of their facial structure, their small build and light weights, to the wings that grow angel-like from their backs. Arrians prefer to live in high places, but their swiftness in flight makes them valuable messengers and fighters for the ground-ridden races. Arrians range in height from 4'5" to 5'2". The tallest known Arrian reached 5'4", but was reputed to have difficulties in flight. Arrians tend to share the same lifespan rate as humans do- the average age of death usually being around 75 years old.
Primary Countries of Residence: Nevyrn, Eddalius
Vulpian:
Undoubtedly the stranges of the races, the Vulpians are known for their beast-like appearance. As hinted by the name, they have longer, pointed ears, an elongated face, and bushy tails, giving their appearance to be similar to a humanoid fox. Usually quiet and reserved, Vulpians find peace with the natural energies of the world, and tend to prefer their solitude over the squabbling in countries dominated by humans. In their life-spans, Vulpians will have one litter that consists of 2-4 kits. Additional litters usually results in fatalities of both mother and children. Vulpians are known for their research in medical techniques and healing properties of herbs, aided by the fact that their average life span is up to 115 years.
Primary Country of Residence: Talianis
Endyrs:
Undoubtedly the most mysterious of the races, Endyrs share the greatest appearance similarities with humans- but don't say that directly to their faces. As outwardly conniving and tempestuous as Humans are, Endyrs are reserved and subtle about the history-altering plots that they choose to take part in. They are distiguishable from the very slight point of their ears, their long, uncropped hair, and blue eyes that may range from near-white to almost black. Furthermore, they tend to only have two children in their entire lifespans, even though their average age at death is easily 130 years. By rule, their people do not seem to indulge others in their rigidly formal culture, and anything they tend to do will always have some sort of purpose concerned with their own self-promotion or self-preservation. If an Endyrs is fighting beside you, be sure to keep one eye on him, and one eye on your foe. You can't be sure which will stab you first.
